Reaching Alaska for Christ with Alaska Village Missions and Alaska Bible Institute
Our mission is to disciple and equip students for ministry at Alaska Bible Institute and to reach the Alaskan native villages with the truth of God’s word.
Taylor and Marissa Fendley began serving with Alaska Village Missions in 2022. Taylor and Marissa are currently serving at Alaska Bible Institute, a tuition-free Bible college, with their three children, Kaden, Bristol, and Luke. Along with the Bible school, they are reaching the remote native villages of Alaska for Christ. With their primary focus being village ministry, they feel called to discipleship and helping to grow and support the local churches in the villages.
Alaska Bible Institute (ABI) is a tuition free 2-year biblical studies college that takes students through the word of God and has a heavy focus on discipleship and community. Alaska Bible Institute is a ministry of Alaska Village Missions and prepares students for life and ministry.
Alaska Village Missions is a ministry dedicated to reaching the native people of Alaska with the Gospel, equipping believers for Christian service at Alaska Bible Institute, and broadcasting hope across Alaska through Christian Radio.
At ABI, we are committed to seeing God’s kingdom expand and grow. All of the staff are missionaries or volunteers who raise their own financial support to make this opportunity more accessible. We would love to have you partner with us financially! Click the link below to be directed to our missionary support page.

This statement of faith does not exhaust the extent of our beliefs. The Bible itself, as the inspired and infallible Word of God that speaks with final authority concerning truth, morality, and the proper conduct of mankind, is the sole and final source of all that we believe.
God is triune, existing eternally in three persons: The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These 3 persons of the God head exist in one nature: working harmoniously in creating, sustaining, and redeeming the world.
The Bible is the infallible Word of God, sufficient for all that pertains to life and godliness; His special revelation given to us as the complete, closed canon.
Jesus Christ is both fully God and fully man, born of the virgin Mary through the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit is the 3rd person of the Trinity. The ministry of The Holy Spirit is to glorify Jesus. He convicts us of sin, cleanses us, and purifies us. He is our personal comforter, He enlightens us, leads us into holiness and transforms us.
The universal depravity of man and necessity of salvation by faith in Jesus Christ, repentance of sin, and God’s saving grace. One must be called, converted, justified, and sanctified before being glorified upon Christ’s return.
The Church is one united spiritual body of believers under Jesus Christ, who is the head and the supreme authority. The local church has many members of the body, all with spiritual gifts that are to be used for the building up of the church. The mission of the church is to bring glory to God and spread the gospel to all nations.
